Lawrence Merchandising has been an industry leading Merchandising Service Organization (MSO) for over 50 years. Lawrence Merchandising started in 1962 as part of Lawrence Jewelry Company. Lawrence Jewelry Company operated as two separate entities: Lawrence Jewelry Company, which sold jewelry and service to Shopko stores and J and L Sales, which sold jewelry to Target Corporation. J and L Sales approached Target about selling their jewelry within Target stores and offered to include the value-added in-store merchandising which would maximize their sell-through at Target stores. This business model became very successful and over the course of years service expanded to other departments of Target and to other clients and retailers.
Lawrence Merchandising Services separated from Lawrence Jewelry Company in February, 1997 and continued providing retail services to a variety of different clients as Lawrence Service. Later that year, Lawrence Merchandising Services acquired another service company, Customized Retail Services, and became CRS/Lawrence Service. In 2004 the name was changed to Lawrence Service Company dba Lawrence Merchandising Services.
As Lawrence Merchandising became more established as a leading MSO, the scope of business continued to evolve into other product categories and merchandising service offerings for other manufacturers and suppliers in many different retailers. Today, Lawrence Merchandising is a preferred vendor for Target and is Backroom Certified. Lawrence continues to manage and service many facets of the Target Jewelry department for all Target locations, which currently exceeds 1,700 stores.

Both continue to grow and expand enabling Lawrence to further increase its areas of expertise that are broad-based and reach across all product categories, in multiple retail channels.
