Lawrence Merchandising Announces New President and Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Birke

MINNEAPOLIS, September 15, 2009 – Lawrence Merchandising, a Minneapolis-based Merchandising Service Organization, today announced the appointment of Stephen (Steve) Birke as the president and chief executive officer effective October 5, 2009. Birke succeeds Don Koller who resigned on August 7, 2009 to pursue other interests.

 

Birke, a 38-year veteran of Target Corporation, most recently served on the board of directors of Lawrence Merchandising.

 

“Steve brings extensive retail and operational expertise to Lawrence Merchandising,” said Cindy Sattler, chief financial and operating officer. “We are excited to have a leader of Steve’s caliber join our team to take the company through the next level of growth.”
